Closed for the Holidays

Cecil and Company is officially closed for the holidays!

We are currently moving our studio, and all of our shops will be in "vacation mode" until further notice.  Not to worry, we will return...this is just temporary! We are very busy elves behind the seams...making a BIG move. While there is sooo much to do...after the dust settles, we will keep you up to date with our progress via our blog, but be patient...as this will take some time to do...and Cecil and Co. will be reopening and updating sometime next year. You are always welcome to contact us via email, and we will get back to you asap.  Although we will miss spending time with you for the holidays, with this in mind...

We would like to wish you and yours a wonderful holiday season!

Get ready to Swoon...I simply could not wait to share the artwork of this very special artisian with you...Miss Wendy is The Mad Hattress...in every sense of the name.  It's no wonder why these beautifully hand crafted hats...go flying off the shelves!  With her unique designs , impeccable attention to details, stunning selection of fabrics, amazing artist flair are offered only in one of a kinds... simply put...Modern Vintage Wearable Art! When you step into one of Wendy's shows, you will feel like you stepped into Alice in Wonderland(our favorite), but actually it is a modern day version of it..."Wendy in Wonderland", and what an experience it is!

Does the fabric look familiar?  Why you say...Well if you own a Cecil and Co. handbag, the secret is...you would probably find a matching hat at her next show!  You see Miss Wendy and I go wayyyy back and many moons ago...we did shows together, (ohhh, how we miss those days!)  More about that later... You see...She is not only The Mad Hattress...she is an incredible artist, the nicest and most caring person I know...she is my best friend...a true kindred spirit.  I am truly blessed to have such an amazing person in my life!  And of-course, we still get together, but not nearly enough...so when we do...we don't waste any time enjoying every morsel on our fabric (addict) shopping expeditions! Oh the fun we have...One can NEVER have too much fabric :)

You don't want to miss it...Meet The Mad Hattress at her next show, The Kenan Center Holiday Gift Show, Nov. 19th (5-9pm) and 20th (10-5) in Lockport, NY.

hoping to finish my new found playground soon...
to be with you more often...
I have so much to share with you...

Life is but a dream...

"We grow great by dreams. All big men are dreamers. They see things in the soft haze of a spring day or in the red fire of a long winter's evening. Some of us let these great dreams die, but others nourish and protect them; nurse them through bad days till they bring them to the sunshine and light which comes always to those who sincerely hope that their dreams will come true.
